AMVAC is hiring an Environmental Compliance Manager for their busy specialty Chemical Manufacturing Plant located in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate has 5-plus years of Environmental Compliance experience and is looking for an opportunity to play an important role in AMVAC’s efforts to be a leader in local environmental compliance and awareness.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead compliance efforts for all local, state, regional, and federal regulatory environmental requirements including RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, TSDR, TSCA, and more
- Prepare and submit environmental permit applications; maintain modifications and renewals
- Manage all documentation including manuals and reports
- Develop and implement Environmental training programs
- Collaborate on environmental, sustainability, source reduction, waste minimization, cost reduction, industrial hygiene, and safety goals
- Support offsite AMVAC facilities, customers, and business partners to ensure the proper management and disposal of hazardous wastes related to AMVAC products
- Other duties and assignments as required
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as an Environmental Compliance Manager in Southern California - Los Angeles County preferred
- Specialty chemical manufacturing or similar industrial experience
- Knowledgeable of regulations pertaining to air; water; stormwater; wastewater; solid, universal, and hazardous wastes; pesticides; transportation; and safety
- Experience auditing, implementing, and communicating RCRA, PBR, SPCC, SWPPP, P2, AER, SMR, PPE, TRI SARA III, 1173, CWC, SB14, TSCA, AB2588, AB617, TSDFs and similar requirements
- Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
- Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and with representatives of governmental agencies
- Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must pass a post-offer background check, drug test, & physical
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree - preferably environmental compliance and/or chemical orientation
